Hope in The Midst of Tragedy

We are all very aware of what happened on Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The whole nation feels for those who lost loved ones during this horrible event. I had trouble sleeping Friday evening because I kept on thinking about what it would be like to be in the shoes of those who lost their child or loved one in such a horrific event. The whole “put yourself in their shoes” statement does not even scratch the surface. Whenever we say that we cannot imagine the pain and grief going on inside of so many of these people, the truth is that we really can not. In fact, we can not get anywhere close. This bothers me because I wish that I could grieve with them more. I wish that there was something I could do to lessen the burden on these people. I have continued to follow the investigations as they unfold as many are working to uncover more of this story, but I can not comprehend the horrific events that occurred. The grief and pain is like a dark cloud over me, but I know that for so many the pain seems like it will never leave. We must continue to pray for these people that God would comfort them during this hard season.

I just took a class called “social problems” this semester and my textbook touches on a lot about crime and murder. I enjoyed the class a lot but it was unfortunate that every problem in the book is looked to be solved without even addressing the spiritual realm. My textbook gets to the surface of things but one can only dig so deep if there is no such thing as a spiritual life. According to my textbook, Mass murderers are almost all men and most of school shootings involve young men who have experienced rejection by their peers. These young men always have access to guns and many of them are gun collectors. All of these young men are emotionally distraught in some way. These mass murderers find there way in a place where people expect to be safe and begin expressing the darkness of their hearts by taking the lives of individuals that never expected their life to end so soon. My book goes into what conservatives tend to believe whenever it comes to gun laws and it also looks into the liberal view. The Conservatives would point to the 2nd amendment to the U.S constitution, which guarantees citizens the right to “keep and bear arms.” The people who support gun control will say that the presence of a gun in their home is going to discourage violent crime. Conservatives argue that taking guns out of law-abiding people does not take guns from criminals. With that being said, many liberals tend to claim that gun laws need to be created so that guns are harder to get. It is noted that about 35% of U.S homes have one or more guns. Liberals say that many of these guns can easily end up in the hands of a criminal. just like any other social problem that anybody could argue about, no matter how far on the left one is or how far on the right one is, the truth is that this world is always going to have problems because there is something drastically wrong with our souls. Individuals make up a society and individuals need Jesus. The country takes prayer out of schools, people stop fighting for their marriages, and then whenever disaster strikes, we are quicker to blame God than we are to recognize the evil among us. I am not saying that God allowed this to happen simply because we have taken prayer out of schools and couples have stopped fighting for their marriages, I’m saying that there is a war going on in the spiritual realm that this country is not addressing. People of the world do not take this into account. People who love the world and do not call Jesus “Lord” will never recognize and see spiritual significance in prayer when it comes to spiritual warfare.

“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12. This passage constantly speaks to me. It speaks to me about how the enemy catches us off guard. He tries to rock us asleep so that he can pounce on us whenever we least expect it. He wants to isolate EVEN CHILDREN and influence their thinking and take advantage of their emptiness and hurt by leading them to do something horrific.

What the enemy wants all of us to do is argue about the surface level politics without addressing the issues in our souls. He wants people to get on facebook, twitter, and every other social media site and take a stance on one side without addressing the problem going on in the soul. The enemy wants our minds to be consumed in everything but Jesus. The enemy does not want families to begin praying together. The enemy does not want husbands and wives to be praying daily for their spouse. The enemy does not want people to go to bed with forgiving hearts. The enemy does not want conflict to be solved. The enemy does not want parents and children to choose to love each other. The enemy does not want us to hear and believe the words of the Bible whenever it says “Do not even give the enemy a foothold”(Eph 4:26-27). The main thing that the enemy does not want is for people to realize how active he is in our lives. He does not want us to be fighting in the spiritual realm with faith that Jesus will work in our midst. The enemy never wants us to see him just how the scripture portrays him. He does not want to be known as the one who disguises himself in our midst and pounces on us whenever we are not focused. He never wants us to take every thought captive and hold it up to the word of God and begin looking at it from there. The enemy never wants to be known as the one who steals, kills and destroys. He would rather watch us be complacent and simply point our finger at God whenever things go wrong. God’s people simply have to regard the enemy just as the scriptures do and stop sitting around as if we are not called to war. The war is about love. It is about finding dark, lost, burdened and weak souls and calling them home. In the spiritual realm, we are so quick to put our gear on but nobody wants to go out into the war zone. We say that we must put on Jesus but so quickly we lose our steps and put back on our selfishness. We are constantly getting distracted by the media, the conflict and the arguments instead of praying and working our legs to love like Jesus.

Adam Lanza’s motives for his actions are impossible to diagnose if we take the enemy and sin out of the picture. The enemy used all of the pain and hurt that was gained through Adam’s life and isolated him and got a foothold in his life and led him to do something that is absolutely horrible. Adam chose to do what he did because he was a lost soul who was highly influenced by evil. I heard a reporter say that his older brother had not even talked to him in years. Every business has a manager and whenever that manager is not solving problems and money is getting lost, that manager is fired. Another person comes to manage the business and addresses a problem that the previous leader did not address and that manager continues to keep his job until there is something that another new manager must come in and address. The cycle keeps going. I feel that America keeps on going through this cycle where everything gets looked into at the surface level and we are so unaware of just how much of a spiritual war we are in. If we do not do something about our spiritual sickness then our symptoms will continue to show. If we continue to look to a man to bring us into a perfect society, we will constantly be let down. Things will be ugly on this side of eternity, but we must shine the light of Jesus here until it is time to go live in that perfect soceity that Jesus has prepared for us. This world is never going to be perfect, but we are redeemed people who need to live like that is true. Technology has advanced, but our ability to solve the problems in our soul has not. Jesus is our hope.

Whenever Jesus says “What good is it to gain the whole world but lose your soul?” (Mark 8:36), it helps us think about how Adam Lanza was not able to take the soul’s of these beautiful children. The enemy worked and brought out a horrible outcome, but in the end, Jesus has won the war and that is where we must put our hope and shine that hope in the midst of this dark world. If we take it upon ourselves to not look to in ourselves so much than we would make so much more progress. The gospel is about how Jesus did everything for us so that we could know him and be his children who are empowered to do even greater things. This means that we pray with power, authority, and our legs get moving as a result of what he is doing in our hearts. Instead of allowing the enemy to have a dominoes effect in our families and relationships, lets let Jesus bring a dominoes effect to our lives that adds all things whenever we seek first His Kingdom. This means that we are aware of the spiritual war going on around us and we hold on to each other, repent of our sins, and shine as much light as we can before it is time for us to go home where the pains and tragedies of this world will be no more. We can not let sports, pinterest, TV, movies, instagram, activities, and society define life for us and distract us from what matters. These things are not evil in of themselves, but they become road blocks whenever we are not praying or thinking about ways that we can love the people around us and show them Jesus. We must love God and love people, especially those who are hard to love. We must wake up in the mornings and focus as if we are actually in a spiritual war (because we really are) and deny ourselves and follow Jesus. All of the longings in our hearts that our never satisfied are longings that only Jesus can satisfy. Let’s walk with each other and mourn with those who are mourning and allow the Holy spirit to do a work in our hearts and wake us up to the war going on that is unseen. The enemy wants to kill, steal, and destroy and numb all of our soul’s until he can pounce and kill. He is wearing a camouflage jacket but if we are walking with Jesus the enemies outfit is nonsense. Love is our greatest weapon. Let’s walk on this side of eternity for the one who endured the cross for the joy set before Him. In the midst of tragedy, lets push people to see the bigger picture where Jesus has won and death has been defeated and people are evil and lost without Chrsit. Let’s mourn with those who are mourning and pray that God would bring good out of such a horrible happening.

We are on a mis…

We are on a mission.

I am nowhere near the place that I wish to be spiritually but I feel like the Lord speaks to me and I often wish to convey what I’m hearing. I believe that a lot that we see and involve ourselves in on social networking sites is shallow and unhealthy. Facebook is a place where small talk goes on constantly. Facebook doesn’t have to be that way, nor does it have to be a place where all we talk about is spiritual things.

Nothing is wrong with talking about sports or movies, unless those things become ultimate and make us distracted. I do want to take the time to possibly bring someone to ponder God’s word and be encouraged. I don’t understand why we often stay so quiet about the things that mean the most and are the most expressive about things that have little value. We like small talk, nothing is wrong with that as long as we’re not hiding our identity in Christ. But what I’m discerning is that many people use facebook and twitter for small talk and jokes, but are afraid to come out of their comfort zone and post something about what the Lord has speaking to them about.

Maybe a lot of people do not feel like the Lord is speaking to them.. That is okay. Just be careful not to use facebook like the rest of the world does. I’m not saying I think we should all pray and wait until we feel like we are on a spiritual high and then pen our thoughts into our facebook status. I’ve seen people say some crazy things in their facebook status and attach Jesus’ name to it. I don’t think that is right. Whatever we post, it should be backed up with scripture and we must be posting it not to look as if we have it all together, but simply to speak up about the fact that living in this world is actually living in the midst of a war. People need to be encouraged. We are missionaries even where we live. Everywhere we go. This is not our home.

Hebrews 3:13 says But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. I feel so strongly about this verse that I could write a blog long enough that nobody would want to finish reading.

That is a very clear statement. As long as today is called today, we are called to encourage one another. Why? Because our hearts are prone to be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

We must encourage one another and get into laboring to not make converts, but disciples. Jesus didn’t say go and make converts. He didn’t want a bunch of people to walk around and claim that they know him and believe in him. He commanded us to go and make DISCIPLES. We are commanded to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Spirit led people are the only kind of people that are capable to lead this world to Christ. Those people that Paul mentions in Romans 1:32 need a Savior just as must as we do.

“Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” Romans 1:32-

The people of the world find themselves in ditches that they simply lead other people into. They party in that ditch as if it is a place of pleasure forever. It is the blind leading the blind and the to make matters worse, the blind actually believe they are seeing. The cuss words for no reason, saying God’s name in vain, it may even numb the pain for a season but the season will be leaving. It isn’t “cool” to rebel against God, at least in the long run. You want worth? You want value? You want a mission? You wanna experience love? Turn to Jesus and rebel against the system of this world. There is no greater calling. There is nothing better than the presence of God.

^That is the news that we must deliver. But this means that we must live together. Confess sins to one another, step out of our comfort zones, live spirit led lives, and grow together. If 100 people in this city sought the Lord with their whole heart, there would be a great harvest of new believers.

It doesn’t matter where we are or what we are doing, we are called to be spirit led people in the midst of a dark generation.

I believe that Christianity in America is so shallow because many people who call themselves Christians (In no particular order) do not…

  •  Confess their sins to each other
  •  Encourage each other
  • Believe that they can walk in the spirit
  •  Rebel against the humanistic approach to living
  • Make disciples
  • Fast

We can turn this around. I have faith. The Lord is up to something. What are your thoughts?

The very first thing that we must do to reach a dark world is to SEE the NEED for JESUS. I’m hoping to share some things that God has placed on my heart lately.

As the major media outlets post controversial stories about people doing horrible things, it is easy to see that the media posts certain posts just for the sake of people arguing and posting comments and “likes”. As the media posts these stories that are often disturbing, hideous, hilarious or just flat out wicked, the comments and “likes” flood in and people from all over the world begin to share the story and talk about the story to whoever they communicate with during their day.

I am not posting this in order to talk about any story in particular that I read about. I want to note something else that I noticed.

Yesterday when ABC posted the story about Debra Lafave, (The teacher who slept with a 14 year old student in 2004) ABC was asking the reader to decide whether her appearance helped her get a lighter sentence or not. Many people responded to the post and their comments made me feel gross on the inside.

Many of the comments were people saying that they had wished they were that student back in the day and got to have that kind of experience with their teacher. Whether they were trying to be humorous or not, their comments made me see something clearly.

Things only got clearer in my mind after seeing ABC news posted another story about another woman named Brittni Colleps. This women was a teacher from Texas who was accused of having group sex with some of her students. It turns out that one of the students was bragging about what happened and eventually the little secret made big news. I once again saw people posting comments that looked at the situation as if there was nothing wrong going on.

I’m not wishing to get fired up and say “These women should be stoned!!!” But the truth is that the way the people responded to wickedness was sickening at best. Of course, I’m not expecting the world to suddenly respond to such news in a way that brings the fear of God into perspective, but I must day that I’m shocked at how ugly the heart condition of America is at this time. In Paul’s letter in the book of Romans Paul writes,

“Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” Romans 1:32.

Paul is diagnosing many people all over the world with a wicked heart that not only do not choose God, but encourages others to spit in the face of God along with them.

It is very evident that there is a wickedness and need for Jesus in every heart in every nation. How can we be the body of Christ and do something to help people see there NEED for Jesus? How can Paul’s statement in the book of Romans even convict us to commit more of ourselves to the world? The mission is never to throw rocks at sinners, but to point them to the Savior who took the punishment upon his shoulders so that they could truly live. The truth is that we all NEED Jesus, Paul’s statement is for our awareness.

People do horrible things, but let’s not let our voices be made known like the Pharisees. Christianity in America must get back to the basics. I’ll be writing about those essentials to Christian living coming up. We cannot help the spiritually blind until we uncover our own eyes to the sickness that resides.

A Hunger for God

Many people believe many different things about the Bible. Some people claim that the Bible is about an angry God who hates people who don’t do what He says, therefore He destroys them. Other people will say that they respect the bible and honor it, yet they never read it. It is unfortunate that people who claim to be Christians do not read their bible as much as they need to. Please do not take this blog to be a blog about bashing people who do not read their Bibles enough. Let me continue.. I will say that we are not loving Jesus enough. I have conversations with my brothers in Christ and every time I press on how they are doing in their relationship with the Lord, I sense tension in all of them as they respond. I am with them. I feel convicted. I do not love the Lord the way that I need to. Again, this blog is not about how we need to read our bibles two hours a day in order to be saved, but it is about desiring to know God more. “Men shall not live on bread alone but the very word of God.” The Holy Spirit nudged me about that today. Of course I have read that hundreds of times, but the Holy Spirit was leading me to ask myself “Am I more hungry for God than I am for chicken tenders and fries?” It is a ridiculous question. But I get really hungry around 2pm when I have not had lunch. But why do I not get a real hunger in my soul that makes me feel a need for God whenever I have not opened up his word and it is 2pm? I am convinced that our generation is constantly entertained and occupied with technology that it has led us to become hard hearted and extremely lacking when it comes to our spiritual depth. No, technology is not the devil.. God created it and it can be used for His Glory, but so often we are people using God’s stuff for our own Glory. We use technology to be entertained, bring attention to ourselves, and to consume our spare time. We are so easily satisfied spending so much of our time stalking other people on the internet. I’m not going to tell everyone that they should shut their computers down and begin beating them with baseball bats while chanting “you’re the Devil”, but I will encourage you to check your heart and ask yourself if you have been distracted by entertainment and the internet to the point where it has negatively affected your relationship with Jesus. For many of us, it has been so long since we have felt the Father’s heart. Those moments are sweeter than any thing that anyone could ever experience in this world. God has not run from us because we are so locked in on our materialistic possessions, but we have run from Him. In entertaining ourselves constantly and barely ever thinking of His word, we have placed our hands on our ears and let our selfishness dominate us. The good news is that this does not have to continue.

follow my advice and save yourself,
for you have placed yourself at your friend’s mercy.
Now swallow your pride;
go and beg to have your name erased.
Don’t put it off; do it now!
Don’t rest until you do.
Save yourself like a gazelle escaping from a hunter,
like a bird fleeing from a net.

Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones.
Learn from their ways and become wise!
Though they have no prince
or governor or ruler to make them work,
they labor hard all summer,
gathering food for the winter.
But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep?
When will you wake up?
10 A little extra sleep, a little more slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
11 then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit;
scarcity will attack you like an armed robber. Proverbs 6:3-11

The scriptures are full of messages that encourage us to invest. The main theme of the Bible is that God sent Jesus to save everyone who would believe in Him and the scriptures clearly teach us to invest in Eternity. I do not want to take the scripture above out of context, but what I’m looking to say with that verse is that action from us must be taken. We have to realize the spiritual condition that we are in and do something about it. Christ already went to the cross for us, it is okay for us to walk in spiritually wounded and feeling unworthy. If we develop a love for Christ and His word, then we will not need to be so strict about the things we do and don’t do, because all we will want to do is love Him and please Him.
“It is okay to not be okay as long as you don’t stay there.”
Matt Chandler-
I hope to start blogging more often.

“The Artist” Review

Review Writer: Benjamin Berkowitz

Title: The Artist

Year: 2011

Director: Michel Hazanavicius

Actors: Jean Dujardin, Bérénice Bejo, John Goodman

This movie is a story about what is going on in Hollywood in the year of 1927. It begins by showing the every-day life of a man by the name of George Valentin who is enjoying a successful movie making career until the movie making business advances into making movies with sound in them. As Valentin is making movies, he is romanced by the beauty of a young actress and dancer by the name of “Peppy Miller”. Peppy Miller and George Valentin share sweet moments making movies together, but division comes between the two when another director (played by John Goodman) contacts the young lady about doing a movie with sound in it. Peppy Miller doesn’t hesitate and this leaves Mr Valentin frustrated and saddened. Peppy Miller continues to be in one of Valentin’s movies on the side, but Valentin begins to get depressed as he sees less and less of Peppy Miller as she becomes more famous making movies without him and with sound. As the movie goes on, Peppy Miller becomes more concerned about Mr Valentin to the point where she thinks about him more than her career without him. It begins hitting her that she cares more about being with him than she does about being famous. Mr Valentin seems to get more depressed as the movie goes on, until the young lady follows her heart and proves to him how much she wants to be with him. The movie is close to having a nightmare of a conclusion before Peppy Miller encourages Mr Valentin that she wants to be with him. I enjoyed this movie very much. I think it is neat how I have seen more “silent” movies in the last few weeks than I had my whole life before. This movie was charming in its own way. I like the classy vibe that I got from the way that they dressed and their body language. Mr Valentin is constantly smoking and drinking throughout the movie. He gives off a “calm and cool” vibe even though his insecurities are evident in the movie. There is a catch to the movie that I don’t want to mention to anyone who hasn’t seen it. The characters are well-developed for a movie without much sound at all. Peppy Miller and Mr Valentin are a charming couple when they are together. I was highly entertained by the dancing that they do together. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys watching movies where the plot is good, yet there isn’t too many things thrown in your face at once. It is a good movie to relax and watch with loved ones. I think it would be neat if directors, actors, and actresses attempted to make movies without sound in them again. It is something different from what everyone else is doing and I believe the movies will have a greater artistic feel than they do now. So many movies are either too predictable or way too complicated to understand in one sitting. This movie was well put together and I didn’t find it predictable at all. It is true that entertaining movies can still be put together without all of the unnecessary trashy humor that is placed in movies today. This movie was great.  It made me smile, laugh, and think about my lovely fiancé.

Wake up, dance around and throw seeds all over the place.

Cities are full of traffic and worry while tribes in another country worship a god who isn’t existing. Skeptics are hiding their tired minds in the basement of their doubts as the abused and confused continue to cry out. From the big cities in the United States to the desolate places in outer space, Your presence rests. Billions of burdens hover over humanity as they search for a void to kill their insecurity. Revive your people, wake them up from their slumber! People should be running to you because you abundantly pardon, but instead they stand believing their heart is too darkened.

Listen up, Jesus is drenched in compassion for those who truly seek Him. No human can measure the depth of His attributes or prove He isn’t existing. Jesus died and today He is still breathing. Spoke the earth into motion and now He resides in the Heavens and does whatever He pleases.

But lets get something straight, His Kingdom is coming.

Hey, every seeking-soul across the globe, come to the fountain and drink a truth that will bring you to the end of your journey to find the narrow road. Clothe yourself in His majesty as your soul’s cold is covered with blankets of truth as He brings healing to your bones. You don’t need wealth to receive living water within your chest. Drink what is free and give thanks freely, Praise the Lord and keep that bell ringing!

Celebrate! Sing songs of His kindness and shout for Joy for the Holy one of Israel is in the midst!

I believe in the raising of the dead. Hey Broken and cold.

Hey abused and “forgotten”

Hey lost and confused….

Come sit at the Masters table and dine with the Messiah. Drink a glass of wine with the lamb of God who took away the sins of the World for all who believe.

Why sit back and ignore the spiritual war when the enemy is stealing and destroying?

Why ignore this War when you’ve been invited to dress in Christ and dance in the midst of suffering?

Why turn to money when money is fleeting?

Why turn to materialistic possessions when they all eventually end up in a dumpster?

Why look to what the world is saying when the world is decaying?

Experience the presence of Jesus, lay down in green pastures. Humble yourself, confess your sins, His blood shall cover every one of them.

Inventions have been sent to every soul, do your part by responding by taking a seat at the table of the Lord. Run while the seat is still open! There is room for every Nation but don’t become numb to the invention.

This is the mission: Clothe yourself in Christ and invite as many people as you possibly can to come and sit at the banquet, so that every soul has a chance to escape outer darkness where there is gnashing of teeth and anguish. Throw seeds everywhere; invest in Eternity. For the coming of the Lord is closer than when we first believed.

American Holiday Stress

American Holiday Stress

Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas time is approaching. Bellies are full and hands are ready to give and receive. New movies, video games, and various electronics are coming out to snatch the attention of America, a country where millions of people are constantly thinking about millions of different things. Despite the break from work and school, the holiday season doesn’t bring a time of rest and reflection to a majority of America’s population. The Holiday madness begins after Thanksgiving with “Black Friday” and continues all the way up until New Years Day. People are beginning to decorate, the giant Santa Clause blow up is in the neighbors yard. That guy up the road is competing with the Smith family for the prettiest Christmas lights and the Jewish people are playing dreidel while celebrating Hanukah. While many people busy themselves with holiday events, The season most likely brings more urgency and stress to American’s rather than a time of rest and reflection. Remembering that the holiday season is about the birth of the Savior of the World will lead America to rest, give, and be thankful during the holiday season. American’s kick the shopping madness off on Black Friday.

On the evening of Thanksgiving, much of American’s get very little sleep due to their determination to find the best deals on Christmas gifts on “Black Friday”. The madness begins as early as midnight when stressed and determined shoppers are flocking to local malls to purchase clothes, electronics and appliances that are selling for up to half the retail price. People see sales and tend to ignore the fact that they are already in debt. Many people who aren’t in debt already, go into debt by buying a gift for the sake of putting a smile on a loved ones face. Shoppers get frustrated, annoyed and anxious as they swarm stores with a mission to find that gift that they have been thinking about since they saw the advertisement. Parents are competing to get their kids the best gifts and children aren’t being shy about what they want on their wish list.

The Holiday also leads many American children to miss the point of Christmas. They begin counting down the days, reminding their parents what they want, and staring at the presents and feeling them when they are finally placed under the tree. Children across America are scanning their head about what they would like to have as a gift without any recognition of what the Holiday season is all about. The new Call of Duty game is at the top of many lists. Until they can get their hands on it, the kids continue to play their current version of the game that they are anticipating to be under the Christmas tree. Since many children don’t have money and they hear more about Santa Clause then they do Jesus, they get the idea that Christmas is about receiving a gift rather than giving a gift. The children are anticipating gifts from extended family who are stressed about getting to town.

As the holiday season is upon America, men and women from all around the world begin to scan their calender and plan with their families about a proper date to make plans to visit family. Extended family members are planning to be in town by requesting time off of work and buying airplane tickets. American’s need this time off of work in order to travel and prepare for the Holiday Season. People who are hosting the family’s Christmas dinner are preparing as perfectly as they can, hoping to serve a meal that is satisfying to everyone. While homes are being cleaned and meals are being prepared, some family members get stuck in air-ports in metropolitan cities due to flight delays. The stress of the planning and traveling leads America people anxious to come together and to be blind about what they really want, which is rest, which is what the one whom people should reflect on brings.

American’s tend to miss the opportunity to rest and reflect on what the Holiday season is all about. The season has negative effects on American’s due to selfish thinking mindsets that lead them

to be urgent shoppers who are willing to go into debt, anxious children who miss the point of the holiday season, and stressful planning and traveling delays that leave them frustrated with circumstances. The Holiday season should be wrapped up in celebrating the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. The one who paid a debt that we couldn’t pay by traveling to a cross that we would not be in position to travel to. If people reflected on Jesus, they would find rest during the Holiday season by being thankful that God gave His only son while experiencing a peace that surpasses human understanding. I want to encourage everyone to celebrate Jesus not just this Holiday season, but forevermore.
